THE EXPERIENCE

Ideal for cruise passengers, this tour is perfectly timed to fit within your port stay, ensuring you make the most of your visit to Ushuaia. We’ll meet you right at your cruise ship and begin exploring this ‘postcard city’. From every corner of the tour, we enjoy exceptional panoramic views, like few cities in the world can offer. One of the most scenic points is the high area of Ushuaia heading towards the Martial Glacier, where we can delight in stunning views of the city, the Beagle Channel, and Chile in the background.

Another very picturesque and historic place we visit is the La Mision Neighborhood. This is where a new chapter of Ushuaia’s history began, as it was the site of the Anglican Mission, the first non‑native settlement on the island. Today, this area hosts a military neighborhood and is home to the iconic old airport of the city and the Yacht Club. Furthermore, this charming neighborhood is located in the heart of the Urban Natural Reserve of Bahía Encerrada, a natural oasis in the middle of the city surrounded by the Andes. Its lagoon offers even more breathtaking views and is notable for being the habitat of around 50 species of birds.

As we continue our journey along the coast of Ushuaia, we encounter several landmarks that capture the city’s vibrant history. We discover the international Ushuaia’s Port, the historic Naval Base—the oldest institution on the island—the renowned End of the World Museum, and the touching Malvinas Square, alongside a mix of old and modern buildings that give Ushuaia a picturesque semblance. During this part of the tour, we will stop to capture the iconic Ushuaia sign and its beautiful coastal view of the city.

Then, we venture into the heart of the Fuegian capital, along San Martín Avenue. Here you will find the lively hub where the main shops, restaurants, and some of the old buildings of Ushuaia that form its architectural legacy. Towards the end of the downtown area, we arrive at the Maritime and Prison Museum, an edifice that housed one of the country’s most feared prisons for several decades due to the extreme conditions there. Its historical significance is deeply related to the origins of the city.

After experiencing wonderful places and learning about the captivating history of the End of the World city, we will take you back directly to your cruise ship, with a new appreciation for this truly extraordinary destination.
