THE EXPERIENCE
We’ll set off from Ushuaia and take National Route 3. Our first stop will be the End of the World Train Station where you could take an optional ride on the old Prisoner’s Train which, now a touristic train, recaptures part of the history of the city. After returning from this excursion, we’ll start our journey into the landscapes and natural environments of the park.
We’ll continue our journey to Ensenada Zaratiegui Bay to appreciate a unique combination of environments that make this park so special: the Andes, the forest and the sea merge into one place. There we’ll visit the historic Tierra del Fuego Post Office where, if opened, you could stamp your passport or send a postcard from the end of the world.
We’ll continue our journey to Acigami Lake (Roca Lake), which is one of the most unforgettable sights in Tierra del Fuego. We’ll walk along its shore and from there, you can observe the political division between Argentina and our neighboring country, Chile.
Finally, we’ll arrive in our final destination and also the authentic end of America. In Lapataia Bay you’ll find the last kilometer of the Pan-americana Highway which stretches from Alaska to the southernmost end of this National Park.
In the different areas that we’ll visit, we’ll embark on various hikes to learn about the landscapes and experience stunning natural surroundings.
