THE EXPERIENCE

Ideal for cruise passengers, this tour is the perfect way to enjoy one of Ushuaia’s most incredible landscapes within your time in port. We’ll meet you right at your cruise ship and take you to the starting point of the trail to discover the magnificent Emerald Lagoon.

On this 10‑kilometer round‑trip hike, you’ll experience several of Tierra del Fuego’s diverse environments. We’ll walk through native forest, cross some of the island’s most important peat bogs, and make our way into the stunning Fuegian Andes.

Along the way, we’ll encounter beaver habitats and learn about the history of this species—introduced to the island and now a major influence on the local ecosystem. We may also spot some of the characteristic birds of the area, such as geese, woodpeckers, songbirds, birds of prey, and even condors.

Finally, we’ll arrive at the spectacular Emerald Lagoon, whose striking greenish‑blue waters come from its glacial origin. Here, we’ll take a break to admire the scenery, capture unforgettable photos, and, if you wish, enjoy a picnic along the shore before returning to the city. At the end of the excursion, we’ll take you back directly to your cruise ship with lasting memories of this unique experience in the End of the World.
