THE EXPERIENCE

Join us on a journey through one of the most incredible landscapes in Ushuaia to discover the magnificent Emerald Lagoon. On this trail, which is 10 kilometers both ways, you’ll experience some of the different environments found in Tierra del Fuego. We´ll hike through the native forest, visit some of the most important peat bogs and hike in the stunning Fuegian Andes.

We’ll also encounter beaver habitats along the way and learn about the history of this animal, which was introduced to the island and has greatly impacted the environment. We may also see some of the typical birds of these environments, such as geese, woodpeckers, song birds, birds of prey, condors, among others.

Finally, after an enjoyable hike, we’ll reach the incredible Emerald Lagoon. You’ll be able to appreciate its stunning greenish blue color caused by its glacier origin. Here, we’ll take a break to enjoy the scenery and take some pictures. You could also walk along the shore and enjoy a picnic before returning to the city.
